Disney’s Hollywood Studios 30th Anniversary Panoramic Silhouette

May 1, 2019 marked the 30th Anniversary for Disney’s Hollywood Studios (formerly MGM Studios). This square shaped pin with a pin-on-pin gimmick was designed to celebrate this anniversary.

The base metal of this pin is a silver-toned metal. The base pin has a neutral gray background that is peppered with maroon stars and white dots and fireworks (there is a Hidden Mickey hidden in one of the stars). There is a large, navy blue 30 across more then half of the top of this pin. The Disney’s Hollywood Studios logo is printed in white within the negative space in the center of the “0” of the 30. Printed in maroon, overlapping the bottom of the “0” of the 30 is a panoramic view that includes (from left to right) Toy Story’s Woody and Buzz, Tower of Terror, Millennium Falcon, and the buildings from Hollywood Boulevard. Below the panoramic, written with the silver-toned base metal, is the word “YEARS”. A line runs under “years” with a star centered in that line. To the right of the panoramic, laid over the bottom of the “3” of the 30 is the pin-on-pin gimmick which is die cut around the shape of Mickey Mouse who is strolling with purpose across the pin.

The back of the pin features the Mickey waffling and tow horizontally placed posts. There are a total of 5 info boxes. On the left, the first box includes the Official 2019 Pin Trading Logo. Below the box with that logo is the info box with the FAC. To the right of these two boxes is a box that holds the Disney’s Hollywood Studios 30th Anniversary Logo. The next box is listed below these boxes and has the release info. The final box at the bottom contains “(C) Disney - (C) Disney/Pixar - (C)&TM Lucasfilm Ltd. - Made in China.”
