Kraken Trade Clamshell Review

I recently saw my friend @DisneyPinTraderUK had these super cute bags for sale from Kraken Trade and thought I would get one to try it out. This is an Ita bag, which first gained popularity in Japan as way for folk to show off their collections of pins, so it’s perfect for Disney pin traders who want a way of carrying their belongings and showing off their pin collections!

This bag is one of Kraken Trade's Clamshell bags and is available in several colours. The bag itself has three compartments. One for pins, and two for belongings. I’ll go through each one of these in detail.

The front compartment is the one which will be of most interest to pin traders. It has a clear cover which shows off but keeps your pins safe. The plastic doesn’t seem to lie against the pins which is good. The pin insert is a thick foam which keeps the pins well intact. I held it upside down and shook it with pins in there and they weren’t going anywhere!
The next compartment in the middle is the largest and I’ll use this for my larger belongings, a poncho, my purse, medications, hand sanitiser etc. All of the pockets are lined in pink which complements the bag perfectly and each pocket has a sturdy zip with a large zipper which is easy for me to grip onto and pull with my painful hands.

The back pocket is thinner and has a smaller internal pocket, I’ll use this little pocket for cards and the larger part for any printed documents I might have for experiences in the parks.

The back of the bag has the Kraken Trade logo stamped in it and it comes with two detachable pink straps, so the bag can either be used as a backpack or a shoulder bag. On the back are four large D-rings to attach to and at the side there are two small D-rings to attach to. The straps are wide enough that I can’t see the bag digging into my shoulders. The back of the bag also has a small zipper pocket that I’ll probably use for my coin purse.
I really like that the bag is faux leather as well so cruelty free as well as really cute!

I would be happy to purchase another one of these bags from Kraken Trade and I would also consider getting one of their larger pin trading bags in future as well.
