Interview with Paige about pin collecting
We were fortunate to get chatting with Paige about all things Disney pins recently! Hopefully, you'll enjoy reading about our chat.
Thanks for much for chatting with us Paige, to start, can you tell us a little about yourself?
I'm a college student from Florida!
Close to the parks then! When and how did you get into pin trading?
I had initially watched unboxing videos, and after a trip to Walt Disney World, I began trading.
My first trade was at Disney Springs, and I'll never forget my first pin :)
Very cool, we love Disney Springs! What are your main collections, and why?
I love the Vinylmation look, or I go for Donald/Chip and Dale/Winnie the Pooh/Remy. They're my favorite characters!
Excellent mix of collections there! How many pins do you have?
And out of those 115 (I love you know exactly, most people guess!), what is your favourite pin?
It is hard to choose just one… it's between a purple Puffle that was given to me by my brother; my first ever pin, a Jessica Rabbit hidden Mickey or a statue of Mickey Mouse as cheese!
If you could pin trade with any Disney character, who would it be and why?
It probably would have to be Remy because he would have some Disney Paris pins.
Ha, great answer, and what do you like most about pin trading?
Interacting with others and seeing all the different pins
And if you could change one thing about pin trading, what would it be?
Less fakes spreading around for sure.
And finally, do you have any advice for someone who wants to get into pin trading?
Get a mystery pack, or buy some that you don't like. Then, go to hotels around WDW and look for big pinboards. You'll get a good start there.
Thanks so much for taking the time to chat with us, Paige! Hopefully, one day you get to trade with Remy!
If you're a pin trader and would like to be interviewed by us, please get in touch.
